Tớ tên là ĐỨC!

Life is short, eat dessert first!
Live simply. Be Possible!

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. – Mark Twain

Xin chào! Hello! Tag! 안녕하세요!

My name is Duc (Đức). People here often pronounce my name as “Duke” or something similar. Some people who are not from my home country can actually pronounce my name quite well though. Anyway, Duc is my name and I am okay with the way you pronounce it. It is not a big deal to me :P

I love blogging. I still remember the first day I owned my very first blog which is Yahoo! 360. Most of Vietnamese bloggers started their blogs with Yahoo! 360, I believe. Some might have their own domains. Others used WordPress from the beginning. I, myself, started with Yahoo! 360 and WordPress as the same time and kept blogging since the day I had it. Yahoo! 360 closed. I switched my blogging entirely to WordPress and have been blogging here since then.

Here in this blog, you may find really random things about my day, about my life, about anything I love to write down. I love food. I write about food I make and recipes I try. I love music. I write about music. I love traveling. I write about my journeys here and there. I love myself. I write about myself. I love people around me. I write about them. I live my life and I blog.

Hope you will enjoy the posts and I am looking forward to getting to know you via this blog, your blogs, your comments, our discussion, etc.

Enjoy!

  1. I am very happy to find this blog! I am learning Vietnamese because one of my daughters is from Vietnam. I understand some of what you have written. Thanks! I have subscribed to your blog. I have a question about what Vietnamese keyboard emulator you use. Please comment on here or come to my blog kidsarefromasia and comment there.

    • Hi! It is really nice to “meet” you. About the Vietnamese keyboard emulator, I am using Unikey which is a really good one. I think most of us use this one. You can download it from unikey.org and it can support VNI, Telex and many types of decoders. If you have any trouble, I will be more than willing to help you.

I have just skimmed through your blog and I am so happy about what you have done. That is wonderful! Really wonderful! Also, I am glad you adopted Vietnamese daughters and are learning Vietnamese! :)
