On the Go: Frauenkirche, Dresden

I am testing the WordPress app for Android. Certainly, blogging from a phone is not a pleasant thing to do, especially when I type so slowly even with the help of autocorrect. But let’s see how it goes with blogging on the go. Stay tuned.

Stopped by Dresden last December, I was quite amazed by the history and architecture in the old town. Above picture is the Church of the Ladies, or Frauenkirche in German, which only lasted two days after a bombing raid on February 13, 1945. After several attempts, the reconstruction finally completed in 2004. Now, prominently standing in the middle of town, Frauenkirche becomes a fine icon of reconstruction as well as a huge part of history.
