What are the stories of your life?

I subscribed to StoryCorps’s YouTube Channel after watching their new little story about “a strong-willed grandmother,” Kay, telling her stories.

Though Kay resisted, she still had stories to tell—from disobeying her mother and rebuffing suitors while growing up in China to late-life adventures as a detective for Bloomingdale’s department store.

No More Questions!

They have made several videos over the year with a statement of mission:

Our mission is to provide Americans of all backgrounds and beliefs with the opportunity to record, share, and preserve the stories of our lives.

Everyone has their own stories. Some may be found touching. Some, funny. Motivating. Familiar. Alright. But the idea is everyone has their own stories and they mean so much to them. Reading, knowing, and learning about their stories really bring more appreciation one has on them and, as a ping-back, make one’s life more and more meaningful to live for.

I also found some amazing videos from StoryCorps.
